Honeycomb evaporative cooling pads are designed to provide maximum cooling, low

cellulose paper that is chemically treated to resist deterioration. Cross fluted, unequal
angle pad design promotes the beneficial mixing of air and water for optimum cooling.
This unique design also functions to continually direct more water to the air entering the
face of the pad, where the air is the hottest, driest, dirtiest and where the most intense
evaporation occurs. -

-
Does the CoolBox drain water?
The CoolBox units do not drain water automatically. However, if the unit is in continuous use, all water in the water tank will completely evaporate over time and you will not need to drain any water. If there is water left over after using, you can drain from the water tank by unscrewing the drain cap located on the bottom of the back side of the unit.
-
How does the CoolBox work?
After you pour water into the water tank or connect your water hose to the water hose connector, the water will be pumped up to water distribution tray which will then slowly release water to drip onto the cooling pad. When air passes through the cooling pad, the water will evaporate causing the air temperature to drop.
-
What is the purpose of the anion button?
An ionizer works by emitting negatively charged ions (ANION) into a room. Because of their polarity, the emitted ions instantly attach to the positively charged contaminants in the air. The newly formed particles are too heavy to float and fall to the surface and out of the ambient air you breathe, resulting in cleaner air.
-
Can I adjust the temperature on the evaporative cooler?
No, the temperature cannot be adjusted, the display is only reflecting the temperature of the air emitted from unit.

What is the run time on each of the CoolBox units?
The unit run time is dependent on the humidity level of the air and the air conditions in the region where you live.
-
Can I use the CoolBox units indoors and will it make my indoor space humid?
Yes, the CoolBox units can be used indoors as long as there is some form of air exchange, for example, open windows or a running air conditioner.

When finished using your CoolBox for the day, run the unit with the cooling function turned off for at least 15-minutes to allow the Honeycomb pad to rapidly dry out. This will keep the water in the unit from becoming stagnant and smelling. As often as needed or wanted, run a 1:4 solution of lemon juice and water or vinegar and water through the system to help clean the internal working of the unit.Rinse any dust screens as needed to help maintain proper air flow.Replace Honeycomb pad annually (If you have hard water, you may need to replace your Honeycomb pad more often)Wipe down the outside of the unit with a damp cloth as needed to remove any accumulation of dust or dirt.

As often as needed or wanted, run a 1:4 solution of lemon juice and water or vinegar and water through the system to help clean the internal working of the unit.If your Honeycomb pad requires a more thorough cleaning, you can soak the pad in a 50/50 lemon juice/water or vinegar/water solution to disinfect and loosen mineral deposits. You may use a soft bristle brush and gently scrub the pad to remove any debris. Lastly, rinse the pad with fresh water. (Note: If you use vinegar, it can be difficult to remove its smell) If you’d like to, you may add one capful of fabric softener to the tank to add a fresh scent to the air.
